There arose a dissension

I’ve thought before that the people of the church who dissented when Helaman began his role as prophet did so because they were attached to his predecessor/father. That may be true but it is also possible that this happened simply because once the regulation was made they were unwilling to comply and would have done so regardless of who made the regulation. We’ve seen that in the church in our time as well.
