Presumably the people who had their language confounded at the tower of Babel were those who didn’t believe the gospel. I assume that the records (whatever they had) were in a language that could no longer understand. I wonder how many true stories from history were lost to the many people that emerged from the confounding. I also wonder if the idea of vindictive and capricious gods came about in various cultures because after their language was confounded in their wickedness, that was how they described their creator to their children.
