Nephi talks of the Jews being scattered and also about then being led away. Doubtless there are groups of both types. Those who were lead away were righteous. Those who were scattered we generally wicked.
When Nephi notes that those who war against Israel will kill themselves through infighting I think of the bloodshed in Muslim nations such as Iraq and Syria as examples of that coming true.
