To Jacob, in public

I had always thought that 2 Nephi 2 was given privately to Jacob, possibly with Nephi acting as a recorder with his father. This time I noticed multiple places where Lehi speaks to “my sons” and even “all my sons.” Clearly this was delivered publicly even as Jacob was given some personal counsel. The doctrine of universal either way.
