Today was as long day for everyone. I was home from work and Laura and I used the time to do some shopping. We had Ezra as Emma and we learned a valuable lesson. As they constantly had things to talk about and questions to ask her energy plummeted. I know the feeling although she has a greater sensitivity to it. Eventually I dropped her off at Kate Lee’s house and took Ezra and Emma home with me. We got firsthand verification of her limitations when dealing with little people who just have an endless need to be heard and heeded.
After getting Laura from Kate’s house she and I went to dinner and then came back home. She was her for more than the hours which was more than she was ready for. She mostly worked in the bedroom but that still left her hearing and often receiving attention and requests from kids. Emma was very sad when Laura left to escape back to Mom’s house.
Becca also called me to say that she wouldn’t be able to provide day care for extra and Emma so we will need to look for other options there. On the plus side, Becca mentioned the idea of having Alyssa move out to a friend in her ward who is a social worker and her friend was adamantly opposed to the idea. I like that expertise backing what I have felt.
