New normal

I woke up that to discover a thick blanket of snow on the ground. While I was still inside with the kids Angie Larsen cleared our driveway with her snowblower. When I went out at 11:30 there was another 3 or 4 inches on the ground. I got out the snowblower to redo it and cleared the rest of our sidewalks too. In all we had at least 15 inches of snow. I finally got out grocery shopping as I have meant to do for two days at nearly 4:00. The roads had finally been plowed by the time I left but not much before.

Laura reported feeling anxious this morning as she thought about reintegrating with the family. It’s a good thing we’re not trying to rush it. By the time I saw Laura just before 6 PM (on my way home from shopping) she was feeling better after she got to talk with Kim when Kim went to visit her at Mom’s house.

I spent a good deal of time thinking about the logistics of what we need to do and considering a rough idea of specific people we could have helping us and I feel that we can get our needs met reasonably with some good planning.
