I was very frayed today. I was short on energy and patience at the beginning of the day. With day Sunday I had a headache by the end of church. Thankfully it turned into a good day. I wasn’t alone in my less than auspicious start but we got everyone to church except Savannah (sick) even though Alta and I were late. We had friction over her hair and getting ready but we worked through it with limited frustration.
At the end of an interview with Bishop Eyring in the middle of correct I realized that I had forgotten the on-call phone so I had to run home and get it. The boys were uninterested in listening during primary but we survived anyway. Mariah choose to come to our class and afterward she told me it wasn’t as bad as she expected. Obviously her expectations were low because it was not one of our better weeks. After church I spent until 4:00 trying to sleep off my headache. The first half of that time was full of interruptions but when I woke to Laura texting I had passed the worst of it.
I practiced saying yes more today which meant playing Minecraft with Alyssa before dinner and with Mariah after dinner followed by playing a crazy ball and racquet game in the backyard with Isaac (and eventually Noah, Enoch, Mariah, and later Emma). There were lots of smiles by the time we did bedtime.
