Planning for healing

The boys and I went to breakfast at the church in the morning. Not long after we got home Laura left upset because of some behavioral issue. Later she seemed a talk from Women’s Conference by Sharon Eubank on YouTube and asked me to play it for the kids. I did so and the second time through they were really listening and the spirit was present as we had a discussion about being supported and feeling supported by others; about strategically withdrawing to seek the support and strength of heaven vs dejectedly and hopelessly withdrawing simply to be away. We talked about the fact that if even just the three girls and I were committed to helping the house run and trusted that the others of the four of us were also committed we could make things work. It was a good discussion but by evening I question whether Alyssa can make such a commitment. Her habitual withdrawal into herself is so thoroughly established that she can’t even contain the thought of committing to any unit larger than her individual self.

The bill of the day, in several large chunks was spent with Laura planning a strategy and focus for the summer.
