The condescension of God is a manifestation of His love for us and it can be summed up as follows: Christ came to earth as an infant son of a mortal mother; He suffered all the infirmities and afflictions that are common to men plus the ridicule of the world; He taught and healed and blessed others throughout His life only to be judged, condemned, and killed; He suffered the pains and punishments of all the sins and trials of all people and yet He stands anxious to have all men receive the benefits won by His suffering.
