“Ye shall be drunken but not with wine, ye shall stagger but not with strong drink. For behold, the Lord hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep.”
This spirit of deep sleep, causing people to be drunken and to stagger, will leave men unable to think clearly it observe correctly the connections between cause and effect. They will make foolish choices based in earnest but faulty thinking.
