Alma 1:1

I think that here is a very fitting eulogy for King Mosiah. When we are told that he “warred a very good warfare,” it is more striking to realize that his reign is peculiar because there was neither civil war nor external enemies to drive from the land. His was a strictly spiritual warfare. He walked uprightly before God and the laws he established were acknowledged by the people and remained in force after his death in the absence of a succesor. Such was the legacy of this great man as both king and prophet to his people.
