Alma 1:28
Because all the members of the church worked hard and imparted of their substance to those who were in need they were blessed and prospered exceedingly. They began to have peace continully despite the many persecutions they faced. Not only did they have peace, but because of their hard work and generosity, not lifted up in pride and seeking after the things of the world, they were blessed with great wealth and abundance. Their flocks and herds did increase as well as did heir stores of grain. They also grew rich in gold and silver and ?silks and linens. They rich in spirit as well as rich on the eyes of the world.
