Along with the three witnesses, the eight witnesses, and the prophet Joseph Smith I bear testimony that the Book of Mormon is true. It has been repeatedly confirmed to my mind that it is true for it testifies of Christ. Nothing could carry such a testament of Christ while falsely claiming to be nonfiction. The Lord has provided ample mortal testimony of its truthfulness but more powerful than that is the witness of the Spirit when reading of the teaching and influence of Christ in directing these ancient civilizations toward righteousness and faith. The lessons for modern society, for me personally are too powerful and direct. The prophesies are too accurate and the parallels to important to be coincidental while claiming to be divine in origin.
