Over the course of this weekend we have seen Enoch attack Ezra multiple times (3 times Friday and once Saturday). It got to the point that we considered sending Enoch back to the Warden’s on Friday night but we choose to keep him with us. Obviously we got more vigilant in monitoring Enoch around Ezra and this morning they were playing very well together. After the experience of this weekend Laura has started to conclude: 1) that we can handle having Enoch here, and 2) that Enoch needs to start being here to learn how to live with us and the new patterns of what is acceptable here. I realized as I was coming home from dropping Enoch off this morning that this was the exact pattern we saw between Enoch and Isaac when Enoch first started visiting on weekends. In that case we started by believing that Isaac was the instigator and then discovered that it was Enoch. In this case we saw clearly where the aggression was rooted.
I’m excited that Laura is starting to see that we should bring Enoch home sooner. In fact, I suspect we will be united in declaring that he should come home by the 10th of December – especially since Marsha has volunteered to take him to school twice a week since he would still be at Freedom Elementary.
On the kanban board front, people seem uninterested in recording much of anything lately. I’m not sure how much of that is holiday, how much is sickness, and how much is no longer seeing the point.
