This isn’t the first time I’ve thought this – in fact I’ve probably work if before, but Laura would benefit from having a job. At present her value to the family is limited to whatever degree she keeps me from having to find and pay a nanny to watch the kids while I’m at work. If she were to go to work part time we (and she) would have more money to work with so that we weren’t taped with just barely enough income to scratch by on. I think by the time all the kids are in full day school (next year) she should find some occupation that brings in at least $200/week to give us the financial freedom to buy whatever tools, experiences, and resources we deem necessary rather than buying only if we can make a plan to pay for things.
Laura spent today with her mom and I spent $300 worth of PTO to start home and get the laundry, dishes, and shopping done. By the end of the day Laura had talked with Enoch and felt the same peace that he should come home as she felt when it was time to bring Ezra home.
