I think I have previously noted the parallels between Samuel the Lamanite being called back as he was leaving the city like Alma had been called back after leaving Ammonihah. I don’t believe I’ve previously noted that Nephi had the same experience of being called to prophesy to the people as he was leaving for home after being acquitted of the charge of conspiring to kill the chief judge. How much of the time is the Lord calling someone to change their direction in order to deliver his message as opposed to calling someone who is headed out initially rather than having gone out and feeling rejected first.
