How long did Moroni wait after finishing the record of Ether before he concluded that he could record more? He had expected that he would work no more and I wonder if he had deposited the plates at that time only to take them up again. That seems a more likely scenario than thinking that he bore the plates with him as he expected to die – risking their safety if he were to die.
