Abinadi taught that the law of Moses pointed toward Christ and invited the king and priests to teach that message. They’re response was to demand that he retract his words about their wickedness because of his testimony – logically unconnected.
I find it interesting how we see the instability of Noah – that he nearly let Abinadi go but was swayed by his priests as they played on his pride.
