The necessity of baptism for Christ

Mormon tells that baptism is unto repentance which explains why John the Baptist felt that Christ who was perfect needed no baptism. Jesus knew that all who are capable of repenting need to make the covenant of baptism – thus He needed baptism despite His perfection. How could we truly consider Him to be partners with us in the covenant of baptism if He never partook of the ordinance Himself?

I never thought before that one of the hallmarks of a people ripe for destruction is their continual thirst for revenge.
