A forgiving invitation

We have in the news today the story of a young man who graciously and publicly forgave the woman who killed his big brother – the brother he looked up to almost as a hero. This young man testified in court that he forgave the woman and that he wished she didn’t have to serve any mail time for her mistake (she entered the older brother’s home and killed him thinking that it was her home and he had invaded – she lived below him). He recommended that she find forgiveness from God and give her life to Christ. The younger brother then asked to give her a hug in court and their embrace was so genuine. It was the kind of Christlike forgiveness that can only come from heartfelt charity. This is the same feeling that Moroni had as his dying invitation to the people who had slaughtered his nation.
