Lehi told his sons that when his seed would no longer serve God they would fight among themselves continually. That sounds like what we know if maybe American culture at the time the Europeans settled – they were consistently fighting against other tribes. The same seems true today – as we gravitate away from righteousness as a society we find ourselves construit fighting with each other.
