Because of national pancake day today IHOP was giving away a few short stack of pancakes to anyone who came to their restaurant. I got to use that to take the kids out to dinner for free. This is convenient because:
- It let the kids practice behaving in public (lots of work left to do there)
- The price was right since we have no money to speak of until payday
- We didn’t generate more dishes as home (which are woefully behind and have not been caught up in over a week)
- We got a taste of the kind of fun things that families should be able to do from time to time (which we too rarely do)
