Over the past few weeks I have been positively giddy when considering the possibility of leaving my current job (and boss). With the stimulus money for this pandemic I have some reserves to make a change. Today I got final approval to refinance the house at a much lower rate. This means that my cost of living fell by $500/month and it also looks like the timing will net me 2 months without a house payment. That would mean that the money I have in hand should safely cover my expenses for 2 full months between jobs if needed.
That news means that I’m almost fully set on resigning soon after the new loan closes to devote myself to the family and to finding the right situation. At this moment I would choose a place working for the church as an ideal landing spot. This should be interesting and, if the past few weeks are any indication, it should be a golden time for us as a family.
