When Jesus produced bread and wine miraculously for the sacrament it was not done to help the people believe – it was done because they already believed enough that there was no reason to limit the use of His power because there was no rush of people being converted to the miracles rather than the gospel. Conversion because of miracles is like conversion to influential people – it can quickly either once the miracles or the person is gone.
