Alma 12
I love how Alma tells Zeezrom that Satan is an adversary to Zeezrom. I think the point of the statement that our thoughts would condemn us was to emphasize again that the Lord knows our thoughts as evidenced by the fact that Alma and Amulek were able to know the thoughts of Zeezrom. This talk of a second death is the fullness of the answer to Zeezrom’s early question about whether the Son of God would save His people in their sins. Everlasting damnation is that they cannot be redeemed and they cannot die – they are stuck with their filthiness and sin.
Alma 12 has the whole plan of salvation and gospel of repentance wrapped up in a neat little missionary ball.
