Lamoni’s father was convinced that the Nephites could have no good design in being among the Lamanites. I wonder why Lamoni was surprised that his father was angry when he related why he missed the feast – there must be something more to his character than is revealed here. I wonder what Lamoni thought when Ammon raised his sword and threatened to kill his injured opponent – did Lamoni trust in Ammon’s righteous character and know that he would not kill unless it were necessary?
