Enough and to spare

The Lord promised that there is enough and to spare in the world. His laws to His people regarding how to live exemplify that principle as they are told to leave some to spare for those in need. They are told to not seek to maximize their gain but to leave for the poor to gather anything they failed to gather in their first pass. How do we apply that in our day? For one thing we can give generously those things that can be of value to other people. Those who need to glean the leavings of the well to do can’t be blamed for maximizing their use of whatever they have.
