Alma 27
The Anti-Nephi-Lehi’s had been in correspondence with the Nephites so Ammon and his brethren probably had at least a good idea of what the new political order was among the Nephites. It is interesting to notice the pattern among the Lamanites of allowing foreigners to have positions of influence and authority over them. Somtimes (Amalakiah) it was by intrigue and other times it was voluntary (Amulonites as teachers). Laman and Lemuel claimed that Nephi usurped authority, but their children had a history of trusting outsiders to be their leaders.
