Reluctant

Saul was reluctant to be made king when Samuel anointed him to the point that he his when Samuel came to skinny him publicly. Similarly Samuel had been reluctant to give the people a king. Not surprising is that there were men of Israel week were reluctant to accept Saul as their king at first. But worst of all, the people were reluctant to keep the commandments. Saul himself lost the favor of the Lord after a mere two years.
