Mosiah 16 – 17
I can never read Mosiah 16:9 without being impressed with the imagery and power of the light and life embodied in Christ that He offers to the world which overcomes all darkness and death. All men are judged according to the light which was available to them in their lives. I doubt that any man had no light available by which he will be judged, but if there were any they would be judged as animals and assured a celestial salvation as the animals are. I wonder what it was about Alma that made king Noah choose him among his priests – I doubt that Alma participated in much of the iniquity Abinadi testified of if he was able to recognize it for the sin it was. I would be that Noah chose him because he was dynamic and articulate, a natural leader, and Noah wanted to use Alma to help him rule.
