I wonder if the outcome of the battle with the Amlicites would have been different with Moroni or Teancum leading the army instead of Alma – would they have pursued the Amlicites further or faster and prevented them from joining the Lamanites? There’s no way to know, but I realize that the scriptures are not records of perfect people. I also recognize that different righteous men had different strengths – Alma’s strength was not necessarily military command like Moroni’s was.
