The church should ensure provision for those who are called to serve the lord. Similarly, any who have means such that they can serve and have their families provided for are openly invited to serve. At the same time, those who do not have the means to serve without needing to provide for their families are just as faithful in providing for their families as those who were free to serve without the limitations of material need. I need to remember that as i have always longed to have the opportunity to serve without consideration for providing for my family. The Lord is no less pleased that I continue to shoulder that responsibility than if i were free to serve missions rather than make a living.
