Why was Nephi taken to a mountain he had never been to? Was it just to get him alone or was there something significant about that mountain?
I never before considered that the fountain of living water was a representation of the love of God and yet he also clearly stated that the river of water was filthy? Are the fountain and the river separate or is the fountain the source of the river as I had always assumed before? If the fountain is the source of the river it would indicate that the love of God gets polluted sometime after it comes from God. (I get the sense from the words of the angel regarding the river that the fountain of living water is not the source of the filthy river.)
