I never before realized that the Nauvoo House was funded by shareholders. It makes me wonder who those shareholders ended up being and how many shares they acquired. I love the order set out, that there was a maximum number of shares anyone could purchase and a minimum price for stocks. A share cost $50 and nobody could purchase over 300 shares ($15,000) even if he had the money to do so.
