About 10 seconds after taking the sacrament bread Ezra leaned into me and whispered “Dad, I’m going to be good from now on.” When I asked him why he said “because I want to.”
I don’t know what he felt but clearly he had some kind of experience during the sacrament today.
I was proud to observe Isaac during the sacrament. He noticed something and stepped up to take care of it. I then saw a young gentleman in the congregation whisper something to Isaac and Isaac then coordinated with another young man to deal with whatever had been brought up. It was fun to see him handling sacramental issues reverently and effectively. He took care of whatever was needed without distracting from the sacred nature of the ordinance.
Heavenly Father will accomplish exaltation for many of His children not because of our best efforts but despite all our imperfect efforts.
