On a trip by bus from the east coast to Utah Connor Nebeker read the Book of Mormon in 9 days. (“you have a lot of time on a long trip by bus”)—I immediately knew what that experience had been like for him as he had such a concentrated dose of the truth in that additional testament of Jesus Christ.
Two quotes from Elder Holland got me thinking “God’s opportunity is man’s extremity” & “the road to salvation always leads through Gethsemane.” I take from that that it is in our extremities that God has the greatest ability to impact is in the ways that help us become like He intends for us.
It is not always hard but of necessity it will sometimes be hard.
