We often say that the Garden of Eden was in Missouri, at Adam-ondi-ahman but what we know is that that was where Adam gathered his children before his death and where there will again be gatherings I wonder if it is not Eden, but rather the place Adam settled after he was driven out of Eden.
Notice the level of Adam’s obedience. He obeyed the voice of the Lord without knowing why the Lord told him to sacrifice. Later he was given to know the reasons.
Wow, we learn more about Cain than I ever realized. The curse was that evil would be attributed to him, or in other words, that men would claim that sin originated with Cain. Also, Cain was not the oldest of the children of Adam and Eve. We learn of their children, and of some of them rebelling before Cain is ever born and Cain take to wife one of the daughters of one of his brothers.
I wonder if Abel ever had children before he was killed. I’d like to hope so and that some of his posterity were represented among the family of Noah.
