Preserving the fruit

I got a real insight into the drawn out prices of grafting the natural branches back into the natural root of the tree to preserve the natural fruit. It isa prices that takes time—a few branches and time for the graft to take and the tree to heal and then a few more branches. In the midst of that there is a prices of removing a few of the wild branches at a time to keep the roots and branches equal while allowing time for healing between trims.

Likewise we can expect to see a process of people leaving the church (mostly by choice) who previously associated themselves with it while we continue to bring in those who are naturally matched to the direction of the church in drawing people to Christ.
