From Sunday School: When we focus on our problems it becomes almost impossible to overcome then. When we focus on the solutions to the problems the problems will diminish and slip away as we draw closer to the solution.
I would add that focusing on the problem is only useful long enough to accurately identify it and identify a viable solution.
