Helaman 13
The parallels between Samuel at Zerahemla and Alma at Ammonihah are very interesting – going to the land and being thrown out before being commanded to return and prophesy. I don’t remember if fire is how Zerahemla is destroyed at the time of the Savior’s death, but Samuel here prophesies that if it were not for the righteous that is how the Lord would be destroying it now.
It almost appears that the peace after the coming of Christ did not really count as repentance since the timing of the prophecies of Samuel were fulfilled which he said could be avoided by repentance.
I had not realized that Mormon is foreshadowing the prophecies of Samuel in the previous chapter.
