Moroni became very bold after defeating Pachus. He went from place to place taking cities without pause and without giving the Lamanites time to regroup. Stratagies such as letting his men down inside the city walls by night were exceptionally bold.
I think that we fail to recognize that for all the “war chapters” this war represented under 7 years of continuous warfare and even counting all the years since Amalakia left it was not more than 12 years in total (plus 4 years of fortifying the land after the war ended).
