Intermixed

I get the impression that before the Nephites fled to a new land, in the first generations while they were living in close proximity to the Lamanites, there was no clear division between the Nephite lands and the Lamanite lands meaning that Nephite lands might have Lamanite lands on opposite sides and Lamanite lands might have Nephite lands on opposite sides.
