2 Nephi 28
I wonder if Moroni read what Nephi had written and used it as a springboard to write more about God being an unchanging being who would always be a God of miracles to people of faith. This same description of the state of the churches after the protestant reformation could be applied to the myriad Nephite churches before their destruction, except that the protestant churches were seeking to return from a corrupted church to the pure church at its roots while the Nephite churches were seeking to break from the true church to assuage their guilt born of wicked desires. The Catholic slide into apostasy mirrored the Nephite march to wickedness.
