Imperfection in the record

Moroni states that if they had enough room to write in Hebrew there would have been no imperfection in the record. I take that to mean that he sees the writings in reformed Egyptian and recognizes parts that do translate or can be translated improperly. I can take Moroni at his word that there were imperfections in the record engraved on the plates while also acknowledging that they were translated by the Spirit of God who could correct any of those imperfections. If we can find any imperfection in the record as we receive it we can’t assume such imperfection is what Moroni was referring to, we must conclude that such an imperfection is due to human error in modern times (a spelling error by the scribe, a mis-set character by the printer, that kind of thing).
