Settling

I managed to make some progress this morning. Last night Laura informed me that Enoch had (again) concluded that our deal was broken because of me telling him on Wednesday what the consequence would be if he came home from school again. This morning I talked to him about it and invited him to suggest an alternate consequence. The funny thing was that he agreed that the consequence I had outlined was perfectly reasonable—the problem came because he didn’t listen on Wednesday when I said that the consequence wouldn’t apply to that instance. Once we cleared that up he agreed that the deal was still intact (although we had to settle on his weekend media due to the days he missed this week).

I also managed to get some good things done at work even with several interruptions during the day.

Alex is continuing to try to make a deal for me to take him out of Newport, I wonder how long he will be able to keep staying in line there and progressing while trying with every phone call to get me to take him out. He was fairly combative in our family therapy meeting a couple of hours after his unsuccessful phone called wheeling and dealing.
