A hint on timing

Neigh had some very strong memories and feelings surrounding the time that Lehi died and his brothers turned against him. It shows through in his words despite the fact that he was recording the events for a second time many years after they occurred. It seems obvious to me that he started this second record at least 30 years after leaving Jerusalem which might have been as many as 20 years after the death of his father. He got caught up in recording those first 30 years of history by the time they hit 40 years which is why he says nothing of that decade except that it had passed and included wars.
