To paraphrase 2 Nephi 31:3: God worketh after the manner of plainness among the children of men—he speaketh unto men according to their language, unto their understanding.
This is a stumbling block for Bex (and many others) because they take that to mean that an omniscient God can/will always articulate an answer that His children will understand. They fail to account for how often silence IS the answer for any number of reasons whether because 1) you aren’t yet capable of comprehending the answer or because this is one of the situations where you need to use your best judgement or else 2) silence = “no” because what you are asking contradicts the plan of salvation or because the result of “yes” is not actually what you expect/wish it to be.
