At the end of a good Mother’s Day where I managed to cook a full dinner for the family paired with a cake that Bex made Laura invited me to go for a walk. I think she asked because of all the walking I have been doing in the last few weeks. Whatever the case I’m glad that she asked and even if it was a short walk it was nice. I hope we can do that more often now that the weather is consistently nice. (I’ll still have plenty of alone walking to meet my goals.)
“There may be many reasons why we hesitate to draw near to the Savior. We may face ridicule or condemnation by others. In our pride, we may dismiss the possibility of something so simple being of so much value. We may think that our condition somehow disqualifies us from His healing—that the distance is too great or our sins too many.
Dieter F. Uchtdorf
“Like this woman, I have learned that if we draw near to God and reach out to touch Him, we can indeed find healing, peace, and joy.”
A Higher Joy
How often do we fail to get close enough to touch Christ because we don’t feel a desperate need? How often do we think we are close enough because we can hear Him even though we are too far away to touch Him?
