It’s ironic when people try to use the Law of Moses to argue against the doctrine of Christ. Abinadi turned that on its head when he asked the priests of Noah if salvation came by the Law of Moses perform he demonstrated the hollowness of their claim that it did.
They said that salvation came by the law and he reminded them that they neither kept the law nor taught it. Then he explains that while the Law of Moses is currently expedient it is only temporary—that the time will come when it will no longer be expedient and that the efficacy of the law while it is expedient rests upon the eternally expedient doctrine of Christ.
