The Whitmer brothers are each admonished as to their call. Surprisingly it is David who is chastened when I would have expected him to be the last to be chastened. Whom the Lord loveth the Lord chasteneth, I guess.
I love the promises to Martin Harris that his family would join him in the church in time, that the laborer is worthy of his hire (in other words that his temporal needs would be met while he focused his efforts on serving the Lord, and that he would be a physician to the church but not the world.
